How does supply chain differ on a B2B verses a B2C based eCommerce site?

The biggest difference is middle men.
Many B2C companies are now using the internet as a”store front”. While you cn purchase products directly from the manufacturer, many peoplle stil go to the stores that they are familiar with, that have brick and mortar establishments.
In B2B, many times the middleman is eliminated. Companies are now able to go directly to the manufacturer and order what they need as opposed to using a wholesaler.
But, that being said, in the end, the difference is not large. Both B2C and B2B ecommerce eliminate some of the middlemen and result in lower prices. The difference is more of who the customer is.
